A Court of Thrones and Roses -  Written By Sarah J. Maas

By, Tonya H.

From the end of January to the middle of March, I read the young adult (YA) romantic fantasy series A Court of Thornes and Roses.

This series is made up of five books:

A Court of Thornes and Roses,

A Court of Mist and Fury,

A Court of Wings and Ruin,

A Court of Frost and Starlight, and

A Court of Silver Flames.

The fandom and author like to abbreviate the title of the first book into ACOTAR. The main protagonist of the first four books is Feyre. Feyre is a girl who was in poverty until one day she was taken to a place that she only heard about in the legends. This place is Prythian. Prythian is full of  immortal Fairies and dangerous creatures who could kill a mortal, like Feyre, in half a breath. Feyre goes on multiple adventures, and on the way she falls in love, makes friends, bargains, and enemies. The fifth book is about Feyre’s sister Nesta. Unlike the first four books this one is in 3rd person. The last book is my personal favorite, because in the other books we were almost always stuck in Feyre’s mind, which wasn’t always great. This series is full of emotion, adventure, romance, mind blowing plot twist, great character backstories and development, and so much more. Just a warning, if you do decide to read this book, once you pick it up you won’t want to put it down.
