Alien Spaceship
by Jazmín P

Today in the park, Matilda and her friends were playing. Her parents watched as the kids waged a snowball fight. There were six people on each of the two teams. The adults prepared the snack under the roof of the picnic tables while the Ice Fire team threw down the Total Destruction team's snow fort. Total Destruction went to the play set behind their fort and attacked Ice Fire with everything they had.

"Time to eat!" yelled the parents.

"NO!" the children responded and continued attacking each other.

"Five, Four, Thr-"

"We're coming," the children said.

When they arrived, a sound was heard that shook the earth. On the soccer field, a spaceship the size of a house landed! Everyone forgot the snack because who is going to think about a snack when an unknown object, the size of a house, appears on the soccer field? Okay. Matilda thought the ship was a terrestrial spaceship and she was not afraid. Most parents did too. The rest of the kids thought it was the first of a fleet to invade Earth. They were all wrong. That day was the weirdest day of her life.

The door opened and four things came out. They had blue skin that looked like that of a chameleon and four tentacles where they should have arms and legs. The beings said, "We know your language. We are of few words." They entered the ship and took off. They floated above the group. Matilda and her friends began to float until they entered the spaceship. They were in a type of cell on the ship. They felt the spaceship as it flew away.

Follow the Track
by Eliana I

There once was a girl who lived in a little house and just behind her house was a railway. She was playing in the yard then her mom called, “Zola, time for dinner!”

After dinner  Zola went to bed. She heard the horn of the midnight express and it left the station. The midnight express stops in the day to stay and rest in the small train hut. Zola loved the midnight express and she whispered to herself “I’m going to get on that train.”

BUSY
In band I play the tambourine,

In strings I play the violin,

I play the piano too,

I’m sorry, there’s so much to do,

I’ll play with you some other time.

MESSED UP

I painted some music,

I played some art,

Oops,

I think I messed those up.

RAINBOW BRIDGES

Rainbows are bridges

Rainbows are colorful,

But if they are bridges,

Why can’t I cross them?
